Kappa Sigma Football League
The Kappa Sigma Football League (sponsored by Yahoo! Fantasy Sports) is a free league that has been a fantasy favorite for many Central Florida Kappa Sigmas and friends. Instantiated in 2002 by the first KSFL Commissioner, Steve Worsley, the KSFL continues with its 23rd season in 2024. The KSFL is a private league.
The KSFL is comprised of two conferences (which have no impact on gameplay; pure bragging rights only):
- Bologna Conference - Kappa Sigma Brothers
- Cossa Conference - Friends/Relatives of Kappa Sigma Brothers
Claiming their fifth KSFL championship, the Wizards (managed by Richard Patch) was recorded as the champion.

In 2007, the KSFL Commissioner began to maintain statistics of previous KSFL years through 2015. Since then, statistics are available and maintained via the Yahoo! Fantasy Sports league site. Each year, the league members are allowed to request changes (to be enacted by a majority vote of league managers) to any rules, point allocations, roster positions, etc. Below is a list of current KSFL rules and guidelines.
League Rules/Guidelines
- There must be an even number of teams in the league. This is to facilitate a Live Online Draft (which requires an even number of teams) and prevents any team from having a Bye Week.
- The Live Online Draft is usually held the morning of the Saturday before Labor Day weekend (not during Labor Day weekend) each year. In 2024, the Live Online Draft is scheduled for Saturday, August 24, at 10:30am EDT.
- One hour prior to the occurrence of the Live Online Draft, if there are an odd number of teams in the league, the KSFL Commissioner will remove the manager that was the last to sign up. The league will be locked down to allow for the Live Online Draft to occur.
- Voting for a league change will be performed using the League Message Board. A majority vote for a league rule change, addition, or deletion, will be enacted as follows:
- For those change(s) that must be made prior to the draft, the change(s) will be enacted no later than approximately one hour prior to the draft, to allow all managers an opportunity to vote.
- All other changes will be enacted upon reaching a majority vote. The KSFL Commissioner will make every effort to enable the change prior to the start of the week.
- The KSFL is currently not a Keeper League.
- In 2011, for the 10th anniversary, optional prizes were introduced. A manager can now donate $35 or become a member of the KSAACF prior to the start of the draft; upon doing so, the manager qualifies for one of the prizes listed below. Click here to donate (specify in the notes that this is for the KSFL) or become a dues paying member. If a manager chooses not to donate, and he/she finishes in the top three positions, the prize will fall to the next highest position of the eligible manager that has donated.
- 1st place: $100
- 2nd place: $50
- 3rd place: $25
- As stated above, if there are an odd number of teams, the last manager to sign up will be removed. If the manager that was removed prior to the draft has donated funds and requests a refund of the donation, a refund will be issued.

The Commissioner posted some potential league changes that are up for a vote prior to each season. All managers that have participated in four or more seasons are eligible to vote and propose additional changes.
